It starts the way most things start for new parents: at 2am, in the dark, with a screaming baby and a tube of cream you can barely open with one hand.
Between us, we have five kids. That’s thousands of diaper changes, dozens of half-squeezed tubes of cream, and more than a few ruined onesies. We know the routine. Wipe, dry, squeeze out a glob of thick white paste, try to spread it evenly on a baby who’s already rolling over, get it under your fingernails, on their pajamas, on the changing pad cover that you’ll have to wash again tomorrow. Then do it again in three hours.
We kept thinking: there has to be a better way. Not a better cream. Not a fancier applicator. A fundamentally different approach.
What if the ingredients activated on their own, with no application, no mess, no remembering? What if baby’s skin was continuously conditioned, every minute they wore a diaper?
So we built it. A soft, thin pad containing just six clean ingredients that parents place inside any diaper. Body heat activates the moisture barrier. Moisture activates the skin conditioners and pH buffer. It works while baby sleeps, plays, crawls, and does all the things babies do.
We spent months studying the science of infant skin, consulting with dermatologists and cosmetic chemists, and testing every ingredient against one simple standard: would we put this on our own kids’ skin, against their most sensitive areas, for hours at a time? If the answer wasn’t an immediate yes, it didn’t make the cut.
The result is a product with six ingredients you can pronounce, understand, and trust. No drugs. No zinc oxide. No petrolatum. No fragrance. No compromise.
We called it Bask because that’s what baby’s skin should do: bask in gentle, continuous, effortless care.
